Evaluation

Each step of the WebQuest requires high-level thinking skills, such as anlitycal and critical approach, various forms of comparison and evaluation. Here is the scale for evaluating sudents' work on each part of the task.

Stage 1 The student is not able to understand the task and is not able to explore the site, download and install the software without help The student understands the task but has difficulties while selecting and installing the software The student understands the task and chooses and installs the software with minor problems The student understands the task and chooses and installs the software sucessfully  
Stage 2 The student is not able to understand the task and needs instructor's help to find or understand the tutorial The student understands the task and finds the appropriate tutorial but cannot summarize the basic features of the program The student understands the task and finds the appropriate tutorial, summarizes the basic features of the program having minor mistakes The student understands the task, finds the appropriate tutorial, and summarizes the basic features of the program without mistakes  
Stage 3

The student is not able to understand the task, cannot utilize the software, and needs instructor's guidance in filling out the evaluation form

The student is able to understand the task but and needs instructor's guidance in using the software and filling out the evaluation form The student understands the task and can use the software and evaluate it with occasional help of the instructor The student understands the task and can use the software and evaluate it

Stage 4 The student does not follow the topic and does not collaborate with the peers The student follows the general topic but does not collaborate with the peers during the discussion The student follows the topic and collaborates with the peers during the discussion but without active participation The student demonstrates knowledge obtained from the previous tasks and collaborates with the peers during the discussion actively  
Stage 5 The student does not follow the topic and does not collaborate with the peers The student follows the general topic but does not participate in the discussion, making presentation or writing the report The student demonstrates understanding the topic, and collaborates with the peers during the discussion, making presentation and writing the report but does not refer to the knowledge obtained from the previous tasks The student demonstrates knowledge obtained from the previous tasks and collaborates with the peers during the discussion actively
